Our Youngest Conservationist!

We recently received a letter from 8-year old Molly Lu from Groton with this innovative donation!

"This year for  my birthday I had a dragon party at the ice arena. Instead of getting birthday presents from my friends I asked them to give money for the Hazelton Farm on Newfound Lake project. My friends and families gave $125 in honor of my 8th birthday. I dream about dragons using this land."
Molly Lu McKellar is surronded by her classmates from Bridgwater-Hebron Village School, classmate siblings, and her favorite teacher Mrs. Kehoe and husband Pete.

Thank you Molly Lu, family and friends!

Here's a picture of a dragon that visited the "Fairy and Gnome Weekend" at the Audubon fields across the Cockermouth River from the Hazelton Farm last year! Maybe he'll return especially if he knows he has friends like you in the area!

Summer hike to Hazelton land

Naturalist Dave Anderson led a hike through the Hazelton's fields and forest to introduce the public to the many varied habitats and wildlife on the property. Ben Nugent from NH Fish and Game Dept. showed the group how he identifies fish species in Wise Brook through gentle "shocking." The Cockermouth River offered some fun for the kids too - nothing like a cool river on a hot day! And, fresh bobcat tracks!
